The first step is to schedule a complimentary consultation. During this 90-minute meeting, we'll discuss your project goals, timeline, budget, and design preferences. We'll tour your space (in-person or virtually), take measurements, and assess the current layout. This helps us understand your vision and determine if we're the right fit for your project. After the consultation, we'll provide a detailed proposal outlining our recommended services, timeline, and investment.
Our process follows four key phases:
- Discovery & Vision: We meet to discuss your lifestyle, preferences, and project goals. We'll create a mood board and define the design direction.
- Design Development: We develop detailed floor plans, select materials and finishes, and curate furniture options. You'll receive 3D renderings to visualize the space.
- Implementation: We coordinate with contractors, order furnishings, and manage the project timeline. We handle all the details so you don't have to.
- Installation & Styling: We oversee delivery and installation, then style your space with finishing touches. We ensure everything is perfect before the final reveal.
Not at all! Part of our expertise is helping you discover and define your style. Many clients come to us knowing they want change but aren't sure what direction to take. Through our consultation and discovery process, we'll explore your preferences, lifestyle needs, and aesthetic inclinations. We'll show you examples, discuss what resonates with you, and guide you toward a cohesive design direction that feels authentically you.
As involved as you'd like to be! We tailor our approach to match your preferences. Some clients want to be consulted on every decision, while others prefer to trust our expertise and see the final result. Typically, we have key decision points where your input is essential—approving the design concept, selecting major furniture pieces, and choosing finishes.
Our design fees vary based on project scope and complexity. Here are typical ranges:
- Single Room Design: $3,500 - $15,000
- Multiple Rooms (2-3): $15,000 - $35,000
- Whole Home Design: $35,000 - $100,000+
- Consultation Only: $500 (credited toward full project)
Our full-service design fee includes:
- Initial consultation and space assessment
- Concept development and mood boards
- Detailed floor plans and space planning
- 3D renderings and visualizations
- Material and finish selections
- Furniture sourcing and specifications
- Contractor coordination and project management
- Procurement and ordering services
- Installation oversight and styling
- Unlimited communication throughout the project
Not included: furniture and furnishings, materials, contractor labor, permits, delivery fees, and custom millwork fabrication.
Furniture and materials are purchased separately from our design fee. We offer two options:
Option 1: We Purchase for You
We handle all procurement, leveraging our trade relationships for better pricing and quality. We charge a 20% procurement fee on furnishings, which covers ordering, tracking, quality control, and coordinating delivery.
Option 2: You Purchase Directly
We provide you with detailed shopping lists including product links, specifications, and quantities. You purchase items directly. We're available to answer questions and can still coordinate delivery and installation for a flat fee.
Most clients prefer Option 1 for the convenience and peace of mind, but we're flexible to accommodate your preferences.
For full-service design projects, we typically work with total project budgets (design fees + furnishings) starting at $20,000 for a single room and $50,000+ for multiple rooms or whole-home projects. This ensures we can deliver the quality and attention to detail our clients expect. If you're working with a smaller budget, we offer consultation packages starting at $500 where we provide design direction and shopping lists you can implement yourself. We're happy to discuss your budget during our initial consultation to determine the best approach for your needs.
Project timelines vary based on scope and complexity:
- Single Room (Design Concept): 3-4 weeks
- Single Room (Full Service): 8-12 weeks
- Multiple Rooms: 3-5 months
- Whole Home: 6-12 months
We'll do our best to accommodate your timeline! If you have a specific deadline (moving date, special event, etc.), let us know during the consultation.
